Do you handwrite letters?
I was just curious how many of us handwrite letters. I know having the Internet makes it easier to just write an email and hit send. The price of stamps could be a hindrance as well.
I just think that sending a handwritten letter is more personal. I know I for one love to get a handwritten letter in the mail more than I do in the email.
What about you?

i also agree, handwritting is more personal. i feel like the person took more of their own time to personally write the letter to "me".

I agree - handwritten notes seem to mean much more and are so much nicer to receive. But - email seems to have taken over for convenience in the world we live in. We cannot wait for delayed gratification anymore and are looking for a response to an email as soon as we send it out.
I only really send notes by hand when they are thank you notes. Other than that - it's always email. Actually - that does save me money since most of my friends and all my relatives live overseas!
That's one good thing about email - cuts down on my phone bill and postage bill.

I love getting handwritten letters in the mail. I think the last one I got was about 6 years ago. Same with writting one. To tell you the truth, there's so much to think about that I never think about writting letters.

No, I don't send handwritten letters as I don't feel I'm a good letter writer, but I think its a lovely gesture, and I love to receive handwritten letters.

I still handwrite letters to people who don't have computers, but to be honest I prefer emails myself!

I still send handwritten letters to one close friend. We've been "pen-pals" for our entire lives. Other than her, though, I prefer e-mail: cheaper, convenient and if it's really special I can print it out or save it if I really want to.

I can't remember the last time I wrote a letter other than a thank you note. I think I prefer getting emails over letters, but I still love phone calls the most.

I still hand-write to my friend that lives out of state. They're off-grid & don't even have e-mail. She's told me before that I could type a letter...but I like it when I receive a hand-written one, so I continue to do the same. Plus, I know she doesn't really *mean* it....we *all* want a hand written letter.

Sometimes, they get to be like 20 pages long.
Oh, I do hand-written thank-you notes & last b-day prty I had, we wrote out the invitation on pretty paper. Much more personal, I think.

I write letters by hand to a couple of people. Mostly to my best friend Kathleen. We also email, talk on the regular phone, talk on skype, send packages to each other and have a journal we both fill in and send back and forth.
