Thumbs up Only in a small town...

will the city attorney help you pack pet items into the Animal Control Officer's office!

We had a pet giving tree at the library (my work) for the holidays. My boss took it down and had all of the stuff ready to go to the shelter. Since I volunteer at the shelter, she asked if I would take it down.

Well, the ACO decided it would be better off in her office since the shelter is sooo small, so I dropped the stuff off when I went to the public safety building. I go there every day for work with deposits, inter-office stuff, etc.

As I was staggering in the door with my second load, the city attorney popped his head out of his office and asked what I was doing. When I explained, he grabbed a cart and helped my unload my entire trunk!

This was SO oustide his job description, you wouldn't believe it. He was just being nice. What a guy.

It is so nice to hear of others helping someone else out when they don't have to. That is a rare find in the world these days!!!!

He's definitely not too big for his britches! He comes to check out books regularly and waits in line just like everyone else. We always chat for a few mintues about life in general. He will stop to pet Gypsy when we are out walking. She nearly trashed his very nice suit one day when she saw him (muddy paws + wool suit=bad combination)!
