Default What have you done today?

We had a friend from work offer to come over and help us cut wood. It was really nice of him. He knew our saw is broken and we were really low on wood. He brought his splitter and we were able to split some oak. We now have nearly a cord of wood. That will last us a long, long time, especially since it has been so warm. Alex and I made a big dinner and we fed him and now I have Mt. Dishmore to conquer. But I will be warm while doing the dishes!

    What have you done today?

This morning, I read the newspaper, fixed a healthy breakfast, washed the dishes, did two loads of laundry, dd and I did some "upgrades" to her hamster's cage (new exercise wheel, little cardboard house, and a new food dish).

This afternoon, dd and I took our dog for a walk (it was beautiful outside!), then I made lunch (whole grain pasta, meatsauce, steamed carrots and brocolli, cottage cheese), washed the dishes again, now I am injoying a cup of coffee and a little "me time" on the computer before I head off to work at 4:30pm.

Today, we are mostly still in shock.
Filled up the van's gas tank.
Went to the commissary, got 2 loaves of bread, 2 bags of cereal, & 1 gallon of milk.
Made a batch of blueberry muffins.
    Folded 2 loads of laundry.
Helped dh bring in a load of wood & start a fire.
    knitted for a bit
    put 23 books on Half.com

There are tons more things to do, but I just don't have the motivation right now

arranged a doggie adoption visit for this wednesday
cleaned house. Since it's warm, I got to hang clothes on the line and do windows too!!
    Dishes,
    mop, vac
hung a holder thing for mop/broom/etc hung another hook to hang up a stick vac (only weighs three lbs, but not enough hooks on the aforementioned holder thingy)
Hung up an automatic air freshener thing
    fed kids, fed me
fixed up the cockatiels with some new toys
    decluttered
    made some phone calls...

    pretty much it
I have more vacuuming and to make dinner yet to do, then I am done for today.

Yes I'm out of my mind. It's a dark and scary place in there.
