Hi from Maine!
Hi everyone! I'm so glad to be here and look forward to getting some tips on how to make my $$ stretch farther than it already is. My name is Susan and I'm in lovely Southern Maine. I've been married for 6 years and have a 3 year old son. I work 30 - 40 hours a week in a group home with behaviorally challenged youth. We are stuck in a huge finacial rut right now and can't even afford our basic needs. I could really use some help as far as where to start in becoming frugal

Welcome Susan. You live in a beautiful place. I love visiting Maine, though I don't get to do it often. Stick around and you'll be sure to find a lot of great information that will stretch your money. Join up in the no spending challenge. That is a sure way to save money.

Hi Susan

I live in Southern Maine too. I am so excited to find another Mainer here!
I got to the point where I couldn't find anything else to cut down on and then I really really looked at my grocery bills and thought about what I want and what I need. Have managed to cut down a little more but it is hard when the finances are so tight!
You have definitely come to the right place. You could sign up for some of the challenges and plot your success online (see my siggy for exampes). I find it really helps.
