Question Do you have a quiet house or a loud house?

I have noticed that most of my friends' homes either fall into the quiet or loud category without much grey area. Either the homes are really quite LOUD or mostly quiet. Obviously every quiet home has moments of loud and vise versa.

My house is a quiet house. I try to make it comfortable and peaceful. (which means I'm constantly walking around turning off a TV. )

What kind of home to you have?

    Oh definately LOUD!
I have 3 Kids. In the winter when it is raining and they do all their playing indoors it is loud. That's why I am always going out on the porch.LOL.
In the summer it is quieter.

And if they aren't playing sometimes they are all practising instruments in different rooms at the sametime!

We never have the TV or background radio on.......except some lovely classical CDs....

since the kids left home and the local church youth no longer hang out here as a result it's gone from lively to quiet.

LOUD.. oh so very loud.. and destined to get MUCH louder before I ever get quiet again!

Now, it will settle down again starting tomorrow when DD heads back to school. When it's just the boys and myself its actually pretty calm for the most part, but still, they are boys!

Yes I'm out of my mind. It's a dark and scary place in there.

Generally we're quiet; that is...when the kids are not home

Ds#1 plays the guitar and ds#2 plays the bass, and they each have LARGE amps....need I say more Our house tends to be the places where our children and their friends hang out. Last night there was six extra young people in the house. They were playing a game and believe me, it was NOT quiet here. I really don't mind though. I know where my dks are and what they're doing

It is usually loud in here. Children arguing, playing, TV, music. There are times when I like the tv on for background noise and other times where everything must be shut off.

    4 kids=LOUD!

They sometimes get quiet watching tv or playing, but thats rare.Usually, someone is not happy. When they are quiet,we have to go check on them and make sure they are still ok

Usually quiet. Lauren & I are very sensitive to noise. If the girls are goofing around though, it can get pretty loud.

3-4 children under the age of 5, musician dh and my big mouth = extremely loud, and I hate it, what I wouldn't give for some quiet.

Usually it's pretty quiet. When the kids are home there is lots of goofing around going on but it's a happy noise.

Ours is somewhere in between. I do have a rule where we can't scream for each other from room to room. It just gets too noisy. However, I don't have rules about noise while the kids are playing. It's happy noise and I love to hear those kids laughing as loud as possible.
