Sweet RAOK
The youth at our trip are going to a ski cabin in Feb. My 14 yr old Dd wanted to go but I couldn't afford the $65 (our portion). So I said no.
Today a lovely senior at church asked Dd if she was going on the ski weekend Dd was very embarrased but said no and rushed away.
The woman came to me and said that she saw that Dd really wanted to go and she wants to make sure for the rest of the Church year that Dd got to go on EVERY youth trip/event. That she was in fact "adopting/sponsoring"her. She admired Dds hard work/charity/attitude/talents....
Then after church she handed dd an envelope. In it was a card saying some of what she told me and there was $65 in it for the trip!
Dd cried.
