Question Have you ever thought of running for public office?

Never until I moved here. Recently I was called to a trustee on the board for the new library and I said yes. The nice thing about it I didn't even have to get voted in.

I've thought about it a lot-- but I don't feel I have sufficient time to devote to public office. At a later time, I'd love to run for school board, and perhaps state senate.

(BTW- I do considerable amount of political lobbying for various groups-- ALS, disabilities, nursing, etc.)

I never have but my husband Stan has run twice. He lost by a huge margin both times. I don't think he'll ever do it again.

I have thought about it, and quickly discarded the idea. I just know those artsy black and white nude photos I posed for in college with my BF at the time(for a special edition of the college paper), even with my face not clearly identifiable, would come back to haunt me. LOL

No but I might at some point in my life. I think the school board in our small town would be a great start. It is all males, all old families from this area. They are truly a good old boy club. They could use an infusion of the female opinion in there meetings.
