Question What would you do with a Morning Out?

I need ideas!

I've hired the babysitter, but I don't know what to do with myself!

She'll come after breakfast and stay till after lunch. Once a month.

I really want to do something for ME, but it's been so long; I'm not sure I remember how.

Well what do you like to do?

I would go to the library and read to my hearts content.
Or go to the Gardening Centers and just "window shop".
Or go thrifting.
Or go for a lonnnng walk with my dog.
Or a couple of the above things.

~I'd go to a bookstore and browse for the whole morning.
~I'd go for a long walk
~if there was a gardening centre, I'd go there
~quilting store - for sure

When we lived in Winnipeg, I found myself having a couple free afternoons per month. The first place I headed was to a bookstore. I'd find magazines and books I couldn't afford and sit in a back corner by myself and browse through them. I found it one of the most relaxing times in my busy day.

It doesn't happen here because there is no large books stores around. I really do miss that.

I figure that I'd schedule her to come when the thrift store is open. Never get enough time there! Or during GARAGE SALES!

I would go to my favorite bookstore and browse around, no rushing. Then I would find a nice place a have tea and cake, just me all by myself! Enjoy the quiet time.

When was the last time you had a manicure or a pedicure? I would say this would be a time to go splurge on you!

Have a massage.

Bead stores usually have nice people that will help you make something there. Wear it with pride.

When was the last time you went to a bookstore?

Go purchase yourself some clothes. Or underclothes!

How about going to go see a movie that is rated higher than G?!

Now go have yourself some FUN with whatever you do! Just be sure to share with us what you choose

I'd go get my makeup done in a freeby makeup makeover. (I did too, just recently-- she over did my eyebrows so I tooled around town with a friend bumping into people I knew and startling them-- told them I was my evil twin!)

One of the lady magazines I was reading recently had a makeover on the same gal at three different makeup depts. One was Clinique, one was Shiseido and the other I forget.

So I'd be scheduling a whole bunch of these and having a lot of fun playing with makeup.

Next I think I'd get my hair cut. It needs it. I might throw caution to the winds and try a new style.

I've been all spendy and profligate since my hysterectomy-- its the hormones, they change a gal,

and I've not gone back to cutting my own hair with the sewing shears, but I found a good cheap hair cutter gal that I like right under the Superstore grocery

so I'd hop on down and ask her to do her darndest for the 12$ and give me a new look. She'd likely giggle and try and maybe it would be a whole new me.

I'm due for one, and this is up on my list of things to do on car day which is my equivalent.

Every Tuesday I drive George to work, and I have the car so I teach the ladies bible study in the morning and in the afternoon I have fun. I go to tea with friends, and so forth.

But once in a while I do stuff like this.

Or hang out at a bookstore and play with danger. I might find a book I liked and actually buy it.

I hang out at the paint store and look at paint chips (that was Sunday afternoon when I also had a crack at the car, nearly drove the poor people nuts looking at chips)

oh and sometimes I go to Walmart or Michaels or Pier One.

It's a wild and crazy time but I like to walk on the wild side a bit.
