I'd go get my makeup done in a freeby makeup makeover. (I did too, just recently-- she over did my eyebrows so I tooled around town with a friend bumping into people I knew and startling them-- told them I was my evil twin!)
One of the lady magazines I was reading recently had a makeover on the same gal at three different makeup depts. One was Clinique, one was Shiseido and the other I forget.
So I'd be scheduling a whole bunch of these and having a lot of fun playing with makeup.
Next I think I'd get my hair cut. It needs it. I might throw caution to the winds and try a new style.
I've been all spendy and profligate since my hysterectomy-- its the hormones, they change a gal,
and I've not gone back to cutting my own hair with the sewing shears, but I found a good cheap hair cutter gal that I like right under the Superstore grocery
so I'd hop on down and ask her to do her darndest for the 12$ and give me a new look. She'd likely giggle and try and maybe it would be a whole new me.
I'm due for one, and this is up on my list of things to do on car day which is my equivalent.
Every Tuesday I drive George to work, and I have the car so I teach the ladies bible study in the morning and in the afternoon I have fun. I go to tea with friends, and so forth.
But once in a while I do stuff like this.
Or hang out at a bookstore and play with danger. I might find a book I liked and actually buy it.
I hang out at the paint store and look at paint chips (that was Sunday afternoon when I also had a crack at the car, nearly drove the poor people nuts looking at chips)
oh and sometimes I go to Walmart or Michaels or Pier One.
It's a wild and crazy time but I like to walk on the wild side a bit.
