I've thought about it but probably wouldn't do it. Besides I wouldn't be able to afford it anyways.

yup till I found out the cost
since then Ive tried some stuff that works well
One is that Vivid white Crest toothpaste.
Another is the paint on stuff. However I didn't use it as intended as I didn't care for the foaming at the mouth look at bedtime. Looked like I could scare dh into thinking it was a full moon and I was getting in touch with my inner were wolf or something.
I found it worked just as well if I dripped it onto my toothbrush and did a usual toothbrushing once a day.
those have made a tremendous difference in my coffee stained teeth.
My dentist said they work just as well, just take a little longer to get the same results.

Not really. The procedure makes your teeth sensitive. Mine are sensitive enough as it is!

My dh had it done a couple years ago. He had the laser whitening method. He doesn't drink coffee or tea so his tea have remained white.
I've looked into it, but didn't think I should spend the money on it.
I have purchased Suzanne Somers teeth whitening package from HSN, but I still haven't finished using it. That was fairly reasonable.

I have thought about it, but having fillings in my front top four teeth they say will not really whiten. I do use whitening toothpaste twice a day, it seems to do the job!!

I have thought about it but apart from it being mega expensive, I too have heard the makes sensitive teeth MORE sensitive, so I think, given my age and my desire not to inflict any more pain and discomfort on myself, I will just carry on with the search for the best DIY toothpaste...........or I could just stop smiling

I am going to have to have a root canal done on my front tooth...
On that same tooth, I am going to have that tooth internally whitened.... Since the tooth is kind of "dead" it has yellowed more so than the other teeth.. This procedure is suppose to make my teeth more the same color...The cost for that and the root canal is over 300.00 and that is with insurance....
So unless I strike it rich, I probably won't.

I use an OTC whitener. It is the kind with a tray, which is a pain, but it works really well. It works almost immediately, then it "wears off" a little and you need to continue using it for a while to get semi-permanent results, but it would work well if you had an event or something and wanted your teeth looking their best.

The process of whitening actually roughens the enamel on your teeth, kind of like etching or frosting glass. Your teeth try to rebuild the enamel, which, of course, is not as good as the original enamel, and your teeth again become the color you inherited from your parents (like your hair and eye color). Whitening again wears more enamel.... Doesn't sound like a good thing to me.
