DH got an internship!
My DH has been going to college, majoring in digital media. Yesterday, he interviewed for an internship at a local web design/graphic design firm, and he got it! YAY! He is so excited, to be gaining some "real world" experience, and he gets PAID for it, too. It is part-time, so he will still have his restaurant job as well. I will not be seeing much of him, as he is also enrolled in 12 hours at the college this semester. This is what his schedule will be like:
Breakfast cook at very busy restaurant - 6:30-11:30am Mon-Fri, 6:00am-2:00pm Saturday (38 hours a week)
Graphic designer - noon-5:30pm Mon, Wed, Fri, and noon-3:30pm on Tues and Thurs (23.5 hours a week)
Full-time college student - Tues & Thur. 4-10pm (12 hours a week in class, and at least 18 hours a week on assignments) Total 81.5 hours!
On the Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights, I go to my job from 5-9pm, so the only time I will even see DH is on Sunday, and then after 5:30pm on Monday. I have another job I work on Sundays 11am-6pm, from April 1-October31 (seasonal at an outdoor living history museum) I also homeschool our nine year old daughter.
Sometimes I wish there were more hours in a day...

Congratulations to both of you!!
I'm sure not seeing each other very often for the time being is going to be rough but worth it in the end. Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers!

Thank you all! He had his first day at the design firm today, then went straight to school, so I haven't had a chance to ask him how it went. Even if they do not offer him a full-time job when the internship is over, it will be great on his resume. They seemed very impressed with his portfolio when he applied, I am keeping my fingers crossed that they will offer him a full-time job. He wants to get "out of the kitchen" so much. He has never had a job where he got to sit down!
