Unemployed Suddenly!
Well, I lost my job tonight. We have even less money now and we had none before and now no health insurance. I don't know what I am going to do now and I wasn't even sure what forum to post this in. There is NO way we can live on DH's income alone, no way at all.

I'm sorry, that must have been like being hit with a hammer.

Wishing you all the good stuff to land a job you like, one that will help you through and even better than the one you had to leave.~*Darlene*~

What about unemployment? Did you have even a slight idea this
was going to happen?
Believe me I've been there and done that... you'll find another
job somehow, God Bless you on your new journey.

I am so, so sorry! I know how devastating a job loss can be. We have been without health insurance since DH lost his "good" job, about 19 months ago. I was able to get insurance through a state program, for our daughter. None for us, though.

I'm sorry you lost your job. Take a deep breath, draw a nice hot bubble bath and relax. First thing in the morning, update your resume and map out a plan of action. Apply for unemployement. Even if you're not eligible to draw from that, you can get entered into their database and start getting job notifications. You can also check out any jobs they may have available at the moment. You can also check out temp agencies. Sometimes temp jobs work into full time positions.
I'm sure everything will work out.

What kind of work do you do? You will be in my thoughts. Do not despair. When my DH lost his job, he decided to return to school. It has opened up a whole new career for him. Good luck!

I know just how scary this must be for you...we're facing the same thing....sudden unemployment the week before Christmas and dh hasn't been able to find another job yet and he wasn't eligible for unemployment........we'll be able to float until the tax refund, but after that, if dh hasn't found employment, i don't know what we'll do then. we too, have no health insurance....nine kiddos and one on the way...................but God is still God...He's all that we have........and He is good.

Sorry for the unexpected job loss. Take a moment to adjust and jump in the job hunt with both feet. Also file for unemployment.
