What's The Funniest Thing That Has Ever Happened To You Because You're Frugal?
I was just thinking about this one the other day. I posted it a little earlier under a different post but wanted to start a thread on this subject. What is the funniest thing that has happened to you because your frugal? It could be the case of stuff that you never used but bought it because it was a good deal or something of that sort.
Here's mine, please share yours.
Kim's story.....I was picking up my prescriptions at a chain pharmacy when I realized they had some good deals on canned goods, juice, muffin mixes, etc. In addition it was near Easter so I was purchasing stuff for the 5 niece/nephew's baskets -- stuff like candy eggs, puzzle books, etc. I had my cart full, went to the register where the clerk proceeded to ring up my purchases. The order was about 3/4 processed and the register freezes up. The clerk can't get the register to work. She in turn has to call the manager and he informs her that after 99 items, the register automatically goes to lock-down mode and you have to void the sale and re-ring the sale. If there had been a hole there I would have crawled in it. How embarrassing, yet now funny. Let's just say now my friends know me kid me about me buying over 99 items at the pharmacy!!Kim

Well I dont know if this counts... but one day hubby and I were at the thrift store and there were a pair of Men's Timberland boots there still with the tags on them....
Hubby grabs them and comes up to me and says "Honey, look at these boots, they are brand new and only $8", of course I was like well just get them....
About 10 minutes later we look at the boots and something doesn't look quite right, so I look at the boots real closely and
guess what? They both left feets! HAHAHA I started laughing,
saying no wonder they were so cheap.
Good to say we found the mistake before paying for them, they dont accept returns.

Ny daughter was boiling some water and decided whatever she was boiling her water for she changed her mind. She was going to throw it down the sink. I looked and her and said don't throw the water down the drain I can put it in the pitcher of water we have. She looked at me with her big eyes and said you've got to be kidding! Nope! She thought I had lost my mind.
