Do you live in the moment...
Or do you find yourself constantly planning for tommorow?
I find I am always planning, then find I am missing out on the here and now. I really have to make a concious effort to involve my head and heart in where I am at any given moment, rather than where I am headed. You?

In most cases I try to live in the moment. Years ago it would have exactly the opposite. However has time has passed by I've realized just how much I've missed by not living in the moment. It was a hard lesson to learn though and didn't come easy for me.

I'm a planner too. I am getting better at living in the moment. I have to make a conscience effort everyday to do it though.

I do not live in the moment enough but I am making progress. I used to relive my past a lot but have since stopped. I do however live in the future too much. I remember reading somewhere to periodically stop and say to yourself "well, here I am". This brings your energy back to the present where you are aware of yourself and your immediate surroundings. It works but I seldom remember to do it.

I'm a planner. I HAVE to have a plan, or I get anxious and feel ill. That's just me, though

I do a lot of planning for the future, but at the same time, I make sure that when I am with my kids, I am living in the moment. I don't want to wish their childhoods away!

That was my big personal goal last year...I really worked on it and it's definately coming more naturally. However, I still plan for life as I know it.

I would say I live in the moment which is not necessarily a good thing for me since I haven't planned well for the future.....

I think you can have both. You can plan as best you can for life and then just take life as it happens, rethinking or finetuning your larger plan. I know it's impossible to plan for every eventuallity but to not have any plan can be disastrous. I try to have that balance but I must admit that I lean more to the planner side. I'm not a list maker, I'm just always thinking and preparing. I'm happy that way.

I would have to say I try to balance the two. I will say, however, that we do NOT own a video camera because it makes me crazy to see people constantly carrying around a videocamera, recording their Disney vacation, child's choir concert, etc. rather than enjoying it NOW!
