Does anyone know where you can...
Where you can do your taxes with just your last pay stub? I worked 2 jobs last year and I got 1 W2 and I am still waiting for the 2nd one to come...
Hubby has all his (he only had 1 job).
I heard that commercial on TV about just bring in your last pay stub and get money on the spot but does anyone know who that was and if they have a website?
I am anxious to get our taxes back as we pay off all our bills and then nothing to worry about but the mortgage and home equity.
GOSH I CANT WAIT!
Thanks in advance,
~Tracy~

I am always amazed at the large refunds some people get. We are very low income, both work, I claim "0" on my W-4, and DH claims "1". They NEVER hold out enough to pay our state tax. We always end up owing the state at least $200-300. We get a tiny refund back from federal (even with the child tax credit), it is usually about as much as we owe the state of Kansas, so we don't get any kind of refund, really. I guess we should have had more children? How do you all get so much back?

Tracy~ Don't do it!!!!
They'll charge you about 10% of your refund to hand you cash on the spot~ that's probably somewhere between $100-$350!!! Call your last job, they may be holding your stub thinking you'll pick it up. E-file and you'll have your money in 6-10 days.

Tracy, by law, your other job has to have that W2 to you or in the mail to you by Jan 31, which is tomorrow. And you will get charged a percentage or a fee if you do those refund loans, so unless your cc interest is REALLY high, it is probably not worth it.

Here is the law from the IRS. I have filed before after not getting a W-2 but to be totally legal these are the steps you need to follow.
Hope it helps.
Topic 154 - Forms W-2 and Form 1099–R (What to Do if Not Received)
In general, employers/payers must provide employees with Form W-2 (PDF), Wage and Tax Statement; Form 1099-R (PDF), Distributions From Pensions, Annuities, Retirements or Profit-Sharing Plans, IRA's, Insurance Contracts; Form 1099-INT (PDF), Interest Income, or Form 1099-MISC (PDF), Miscellaneous Income, by January 31 of the current year. Employers/payers have the option of making the information available on a website. However, if you leave your employer before the end of the calendar year, and request your Form W-2 (PDF) or Form 1099-R (PDF) at that time, your employer must provide your form within 30 days of your request. If you do not receive Form W–2 or Form 1099–R, you still must file your return on time.
Therefore, after January 31 of the current year, if you have not received Form W–2 or Form 1099–R, or received an incorrect form or information, contact your employer/payer. You may not have received your form because of an incorrect or incomplete address. Be sure to verify the address used if already mailed. If the form was returned to your employer/payer because of an incorrect address, or never mailed, and the employer/payer intends to issue or re-mail, allow a reasonable amount of time for this action to occur before calling the IRS for help.
If you have not received your Form(s) W-2 by early February the IRS will help you obtain the missing forms. Call 1–800–829–1040. Be prepared to provide your name, address (including zip code), phone number, Social Security Number, and dates of employment and the name, address (including zip code), and phone number of the employer/payer.
The IRS will send the employer/payer a Form 4598, Form W-2, 1098 or 1099 Not Received, Incorrect, or Lost. You will receive a copy, along with Form 4852 (PDF), Substitute for Form W–2 or Form 1099–R, and a Form 1040X (PDF), Amended U.S. Individual Income Tax Return. If you do not receive the Form W-2 or Form 1099–R in sufficient time to file timely, you may file using Form 4852.
If you later receive a Form W-2 or Form 1099–R, after your return is filed using substitute information, and the information differs from the information reported on your return, you must file an amended return. For more information on amending your return, refer to Topic 308.Jeanna

Excellent advice thus far! Tracy good things come to those who wait. Be patient. It will all come together.
This happened to me one year- actually I worked so many odd nursing jobs that I lost track and never got one of my W-2s until after I filed in mid Feb. It cost me $80 for my account to refile with the new W2 attached which by the way was only about $200 worth of income. Grrrg!! So, I've learned... patience.
I know you're excited to pay off the stuff.. I would be too- actually, I AM exited for you. But I don't want to see you get jipped because of it. The IRS has been processing claims much faster now with the online, efile, telefile stuff.

You can just buy the tax software and do your own. It's very simple. I prefer Tax Cut over Turbo Tax. That happened to me last year. I misplaced my w-2 so I just used my last paycheck stub which had everything on it. I didn't have a problem.
