    Default Last night run in with fast food

    Last night my sis and I went to a neighboring town to do some browsing at a few different stores. We don't end up heading home until a little after 10:30 pm. Well, we are both starving and we decide to go to A & W. We pull up through the drive through and they give their spill of wanting you to order their special and my sis says no thank you we would like.....And then they came back on the speaker and tell us that it is 10 minutes until closing and they were sorry!! Then all the lights on the menu went out and the outside lights went out. We both started laughing hysterically. Then we realized they were serious, and so was our hunger!! She drives up to the window and just sits there, no one was in sight......we left probably 5 minutes later. Needless to say, we didn't get to stop and eat anywhere as by the time we left, every place was closed!!!!

    Well, we both ended up saving money!!

    That's pretty crazy. I would contact the restaurant manager and/or owner to let them know what happened. Even if it was 10 until closing time, they still should have taken your order.

    Yep, I would call and complain, too. That was terrible customer service. If they wanted to stop cooking at that time, that should be posted.

    On the other hand, I'm glad you saved money.

    You should definatly(sp?) call the store manager. They usually work days and not on Sundays. Chances are they are doing this a lot so they can get out early. I've had to deal with this when I did my stint as a fast food store manger and you'd be surprised at what they try to pull.

    On the other hand, glad you saved some money!

    I'd call, too. Was their fast food not fast enough to make in ten minutes? Mind you, I haven't eaten fast food in years, but I don't recall EVER waiting ten minutes for any fast food, so they should have had it ready well before closing.

    i'd call the corp. customer service 800 number or send them an email. depending on how well the store manager adheres to company policy, just calling him may not do anything. but complaining to the corp. customer service should.

    bummer you didn't get to eat till you got home, but at least you saved some money and some calories.

    We got stuck in a drive through at BK one time for THIRTY FIVE MINUTES. We couldn't get out (no exit ramp! LOL) and so just waited and waited ...well, you know.

    I called hte manager the next day and got a free meal for the four of us. it came to about 20.00 worth of food. CALL--it will make you feel better!

    I would not only call but would report them to the better business burea. It amazes me how people are treating people these days. Hubby and I went to a gas station a few weeks back and I swear the kid was on drugs and he had this horrible obsene music playing. Needless to say it was bad!
