I asked my co-worker about the whole thing last night, and you're not going to believe this- she KNOWS the woman who tried to take the head throught airport security. They are both Haitian and lived in Miami at the same time.

P. (my co-worker) said that the Haitian tv (her sister in NYC gets it) gave all the details that the newsbrief posted here left out. The woman spilled everything. She said the head was that of an African man. My co-worker actually believes that the woman's father voodoo'd the guy and killed him (no proof of that anywhere that I can find, though.)

She went on to tell me a bit about voodoo beliefes and how she grew up telling her kids not to let anyone borrow anything because you don't know if they practice voodoo or not and might use it as a talisman against you. She even told me to make sure I tell DD not to let anyone borrow anything because voodoo is spreading.

Interestingly enough, my co-worker has diplomatic immunity and COULD carry a head in her luggage without anyone knowing.... Luckily, she isn't a voodoo practitioner!
