Northern NY friends

Many people in this area still without power since Friday when a huge front with mega winds came thru NY and some will be without power til maybe Wed. Temps were in the single digits this am. Hope all our Village friends & their families are safe and have found a place to stay warm. Of coarse if you haven't power and/or cable you can't see this, just wanted you to know I'm thinking of you and check in when you can.

What area of NY Darlene?

Lots of tree limbs down in the yard here and our power flickered off and on for a bit, but luckily we never lost ours.

Glens Falls, Saratoga area & spots all over. Not sure what part of northern NY Yankeemom and some other ny villagers are from.  . My sis lost hers for over 24 hrs & still haven't talked to her. Ours was out only 3 hours, got lucky. The wind was something about 60mph here but some places it got 75+mph. It's a mess.

I hope they find a way to stay warm. That has to be miserable.

Hope they restore their power soon!

Yes- it was really bad for some people. We got very lucky- I think our power only flashed off.

It is just such rotten timing- it has been SO cold here the last couple days. There are a lot of people in shelters in Saratoga county. ;(

We got the bad winds, but no power outage here. Boy the wind was coming up our driveway...it sounded like a train coming through here!

My dfil lives in Cohoes and my dsil and her dh live in Saratoga Springs. We haven't heard from them. I didn't know there was a power outage. I hope all of our Villagers from the area are ok.

We got some bad wind . Our lights flickered but we never lost power.
My sister and brother were without power for about 4 hours.
Where Yankeemom lives they said it was bad but I don't know about power outages.... I think they said there was some up there that would be without for the weekend anyhow.
Hope she's ok.
We have wood stoves so evn without power we would be warm and I have gas stove so can cook....

I hope everyone too is safe and warm. We did some huge gusts of wind on Friday. Thank God DH came home at noon because our back door wasn't latched correctly and it was wide open when he went home!

Was just watching the news.
They are still getting Lake Effect snow up near Yankeemom.
They did say most of the power in NY is now back on.
Hopefully she'll be able to post soon.
