    Cool Greetings from Bradenton

    I'm Laurie a 40something wife and mother in Bradenton, Fl.
    Been married to Mr. Wonderful for 20 years in June
    We have 2 great kids, Eric 21 currently living and making "His Own" living in Orlando and Charlotte 12 going on 18 and driving her dad nuts!
    I found this site via a link on another site I belong to. So far I see alot of topics I can relate to and I think I'll be right at home. I'm not sure if I know any of you from another site, hope so!

    Dh and I own and operate a commercial painting company. We specialize in new construction and remodel of resturants. Which leads us to eat at home more and more!

    We also have a huge tropical garden on our property where we raise among other things, orchids, bromeliads, and plumerias.

    I enjoy reading, cooking, baking and nature. We travel often by car to visit friends and family around the country. I'm an avide letter writer and my family historian. For me the most ideal day is a quiet walk throught a local park with DH, followed by a picnic of homemade goodies (I equate food with love) and an afternoon working in our garden together or laying in my hammock reading my latest cookbook find (flea market or yardsale) marking off recipes I'm gonna try.

    I look forward to getting to know many of you.

    Hi Laurie! My mom has a place in Brandenton, not to far from the Oyster Bar Restaurnt. I think that's what the restaurant is called.

    When I figure out how to work my digtal camera and this computer together I will share many photos. Right now we have mainly orchids and anteriums blooming. Also our HongKong orchid tree is in full flower. Everything eles is just starting to leaf out.
