Hey strangers :)
Whoa boy!
Life sure does have a way of getting in the way of my internet life
Sorry to have been gone so long. Dh's job status was/is weighing heavily on us both, I took some time off from forums to work harder at our family life. It sure is hard getting used to him being home so much. He's working, but home at times he never used to be so I kind of was tripping over him and getting irritated with him....just for being there LOL!
Anyway, things are better for us. He's still working at a car dealership. He's only sold two cars, and the commissions on those cars were pitifully small. He's putting in applications and resumes left & right and had an interview with Cingular this morning. That would be only slightly better than the car dealership and still temporary until he can get his foot in the door with a civil service position or on a military installation.
As for me, I've been knitting, crocheting, cleaning, cooking, wiping snotty noses, and toying with a part time job. Instead, I've decided to start selling my constant projects at craft fairs. My first one is in a couple of months, so I've been busy increasing my stock of completed items. I'm also toying with creating order forms for things...not sure about that one though. I've done paid to order crocheted baby sweaters and blankets and I got burnt out VERY quickly. I like to stick to the small stuff now like dishcloths, socks, hats, & the occassional baby sweater.
We're still dealing with my youngest ds's pneumonia issues. His lungs are sounding clear, but he is back to wheezing and coughing again. He's now on: albuterol, singulair, zantac (but I'm stopping this, it gives him horrible stomach aches/diarrhea), sudafed, and prednisone. We go back in 5 days if he's not improved on the prednisone and in 2 weeks for a repeat xray. If he's still not healed, we will be referred to a pulmonologist
Now I'm off to get *somewhat* caught up

Glad to hear from you, Heather. It was me that popped in over at your blog to say we missed you- didn't want to pester but just wanted you to know we were thinking about you.
Sorry to hear things are not going as well as they could, but it does sound like you are taking it all in stride. Things will turn around soon, I'm sure.
Hopefully the docs will be able to figure out something to help your little guy soon. DD was on Zantac for quite a while, too, and luckily, she didn't have those problems, but she was an infant and they make the WORST tasting liquid for little ones- it was like peppermint schnapps. It took a really long time before we could get the stuff into her. I hope you all find something that works better for hime soon. We also did Prevacid for DD.
Thanks for popping in and letting us know you're okay.

Yes! The mint stuff *yuck*
I had the hardest time getting him to take it and he's normally pretty good about taking meds. I guess taking digitalis as a baby (which smells like perm solution!) kind off dulls the senses. But that mint is overpoweringly strong!
Thanks for the welcome back

Welcome back! It's good to "see" you again.
Whenever my dh has extra time off work, I also trip over him and get irritated by his presence. In my (our) defence, it is difficult having our routines interrupted.
I hope things go well with selling your crafts. That's something I'd like to do someday.

Glad to see you back Heather! I was just thinking yesterday that I hadn't seen you post in a while.
If you get an order form worked out or decide to sell on eBay or wherever - let me know. I'm definetly interested in a baby sweater! Just PM me when you're ready for an order!Loving wife to DH (8/31/03) and Mommy to Owen Alexander (9/20/06)
