What do you think of those reborn dolls on Ebay?
I bought a reborn doll recently on eBay and not happy with my purchase at all. I paid about $150.00 for it which includes shipping & handling. I wanted to buy a collector's quality doll but the one I bought didn't meet my standards. I could of gotten a better quality doll from AshtonDrake.com for that price I can't return it because "all sales are final." I left the seller positive feedback only because the item was as described and it was shipped right after the auction ended. I could relist is on eBay BUT I don't have a scanner and I would feel embrassed selling it if I wasn't happy with it.
I just don't feel the doll is well crafted. If I'm understanding and reading correctly, with reborn dolls, they are crafted to make them as realistic as possible. I think they're a rip-off, at least the one I bought.. Well, the reason why I'm not happy with this doll is because the I the don't like the way the way doll's head is secured on the body. Also, you can feel the arms & legs are out of the sockets of the doll but jointed loosely to the body of the doll with weighted material and a cloth body. I'm NEVER going to buy a reborn doll again.
I did buy a doll from AshtonDrake and was very happy with it even though I no longer have it because I gave it to someone who is less fortuante than I am.

I was looking at those a while ago. There is a big difference between sellers and quality. Some of them look breathtakingly real while others are very lacking in quality.
I'm sorry you weren't happy with your purchase. That's a lot of money to spend on something you really don't care for.
I definately would try and sell it if you can. Maybe someone else will be delighted with it and not have anything to compare it to.

I would definetely re-sell. AND I would copy the seller's ad to boot!
Maybe you can 'right-click' the photo and save it to your computer.
$150 is alot too pay for some thing you'll regret keeping.

I agree, try re-selling and like frugalfanny said, copy the sellers ad and even the pictures.

I had never seen the dolls until you posted and I had to take a trip over to eBay to take a look at them
. They are very cute and most do look lifelike. I think if you are unhappy with your purchase that you should try to resell it. I would advise against copying the advertisment and picture from the original seller though because that is against the eBay TOS and could get you in hot water with eBay.

I hope you can recoup your money by reselling. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you.
