What are you doing today 3/18?
I'm going to clean out the pantry, do laundry and hang out, plant a few flowers. What are you doing?

Taking it easy today. I'll probably do some organizing, just a few small things. After our adoption fell through I started piling stuff in the baby's room. Now that we have hope again, I had better get to cleaning it out!

I have already gone to the grocery store and to the bank to deposit DH's paycheck. Molly and I are getting ready to go to Kohl's and JCPenney's, they are both having great sales this morning, I am shopping for new bras (for me) and new shoes (for dd). Then off to Target to pick up a prescription at their pharmacy and on to the Rainbo Bakery Thrift store for hamburger buns and English muffins. Whew! Then we will pick up DH at work, and I will come home and get ready to GO to work. I hope we can squeeze lunch in there sometime.

pay a couple of bills
Thats probably it for today. I had to take a migraine pill this morning and they make me tired and grumpy for several hours (and I haven't told DH - oops)“When you get to the end of all the light you know
and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
you will be given something solid to stand on,
or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller
“Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
there are signs that the world is speedily
coming to an end;
bribery and corruption are common; children no
longer obey their parents;
every man wants to write a book and the
end of the world is evidently approaching.”
— From a translation of an inscription on
an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

I've already:
~worked out (walked 3.2 miles in an hour on the treadmill instead of doing the gazelle
~done 2 loads of laundry (3 more to go)
~put clean sheets on dd's bed
~swept the floors
~showered and dried my hair
And later I'm gonna put away all the clean laundry, put my makeup on (after a possible nap), may go out to eat and see my dmom at the hospital (we may take her something good to eat, I think she's growing very tired of hospital food, go figure). I plan on playing on the puter a bit during and in between all of this.
We don't have other plans for the night.

Not too much, to be honest.
My fil took us out to breakfast and my parenys are taking us out to dinner. Doubly blessed!
We went to Best Buy and had to purchase a new hard drive because something weird happened to ours a week ago and dh did his best to recover our data (financial, e-mail, etc) but to no avail.
Came home and hung out with the kids. Sorted some clean laundry and tonight, dh and I will be watching Crash, which we borrowed from my Dad.My Blog: http://amysreallife.wordpress.com

Came to work at 8 this morning (the tough day of the week because I work til 11 pm on Friday nights), but -- YIPPEE!! -- I get off at 3 today instead of 6, the last hours to balance out our Mardi Gras holiday that I didn't get to take.
I'm stopping by the library on the way home to pick up a couple of books, then I'll play with the cats a bit who have been neglected (they think) this week since I've been so busy. Probably an early supper of quick leftovers and then tackle the apartment again -- I've done a huge re-organization this last week, every moveable thing moved (except the freezer), all the storage reorganized, and I mean every closet and drawer.... but I still have piles sitting around waiting to sorted and stowed in their new places. I am getting very tired of the job, but it will be glorious when I'm done, and the excess stuff is gone, and there is actual empty space on my shelves. I'm almost there....
I'll probably read some late in the evening if I can keep my eyes open -- only got about 4 hours of sleep last night. It feels like forever since I've been able to just sit and read.Donna

DH and I went to my step sisters husbands 80th birthday party.
It was in Harrisburg PA, about 2 hr drive. On the way home we stopped at DS#1 & DIL's to visit with them and the Grandkids
My DS #2 moved to NYC this morning
He has a new job there, he is very excited about it. I will miss him like crazy. He is 25 and has been out on his own for some time, but it has never been far from home. It's hard to let them go.

Honestly, haven't done a whole lot. It's Saturday and I'm old. While I am here on the computer doing something I want to do, I have steaks in the crockpot(got them marked down because the grocer wanted them to go) cooking under a blanket of cream of mushroom soup. I have dough making in my bread machine to make pizza later. Clothes are in the dryer. Let the machines do the work. Like I said, it's Saturday and I am old.

Dh works all day on Saturdays, so the kids & I have "Cleaning Day". After all the cleaning was done & dinner was in the crockpot, we sat down & watched The Incredibles...or they did while I knitted

After dinner, dh & I went to the grocery store to pick up a loss leader (corned beef for 99c/lb). It was a nice quiet day.
