    Thumbs up DH is getting it!!

    We have decided to do some work on our yard this spring, so we can have a nice place to sit in the summer. Now, normally, what we would have done is go to the store, and buy everything at once, and end up putting it on the credit card.
    Last week, we sat down and made a list of what we needed to get, and when we needed it by. We looked up the prices on the internet, and split it all up into weeks. Each payday, we will go out and buy whatever is on the list for that week, and pay in cash! By the summertime, we will have a nice sitting area, with a fire bowl nearby, and a nice stone patio for our barbecue.

    We already saved ourselves a bunch of money by finding a place off the highway, and loading up our van with flat stones to use for the patio, rather than going out to buy the regular patio stones. It will be a little more work, but I think it will look much better!

    I can't wait for summer!

    Great!

    You are going to enjoy it even more, because you have something to plan and look forward to, and the sense of accomplishment from the stone work will make you so proud.
    You will be able to sit back and enjoy without worrying about how your going to pay for it.

    I'm jealous of your rock find. Around here you have to get a permit to take rock...and they only allow it in certain areas. You can't just go onto public land and take rock....Believe me, we have about 7 tons of rock in our landscaping, (so far) and most of it we've had to pay for or go to designated areas with a permit.
    And usually, it's not the kind of rock we want....
