Been there...Done that
I got this idea from another board and thought it was fun and interesting
Tell us about things you have done or places you've been that are beyond normal occurrences. Anyone hiked through the Amazon by moonlight? Sat on the Great Wall of China?
*I was robbed at gunpoint when I was 16 (working at KFC)
*I drove through the fallout from Mt. St. Helens (my '76 VW Rabbit died shortly thereafter
)
*Fished for salmon from the pontoons of a small Cesna seaplane on a lake in Alaska (I was 16...it was pretty cool at the time)
Not a lot of excitement in my life...and not much adventure. How 'bout you??

I have thrown a life hand grenade.
My husband and I have a mini arsenal of weapons in our home, including the second largest hand gun in the world (barrel is bigger than my forearm), which I can shoot with amazing accuracy.
I have met the Command SGT Major of the Guatemalan Army. He liked me. He was fun.McD

I can't say that anything too exciting has happened to me...just your average country girl, boring life, I guess.

I have dealt a lot with explosives as part of my job. I had the opportunity to tour a lot of places where explosives are used, that I wouldn't have necessarily thought of as such. I have stood on top of a bluff in Utah and watched rocket motors being tested. I've been part of a group of about six people who stood on a military base and watched the destruction of some of their nastier chemicals. (Instructions were given that if you see a red cloud of smoke coming your way, run.) I've wired up electric and non-electric blasting devices, to learn how they run. I've put a car bomb back to pieces after digging it out of the ruins of a car. Same with incendiary devices and buildings. I've dug the body of a suicide (death by cop) victim out of the burnt rubble of his home. I've followed cadaver dogs, accelerant dogs, explosive dogs, and bloodhounds at one point or another!! (Tip: if you are going to follow a tracking bloodhound, wear running shoes.) I've been the "rabbit" for a tracking bloodhound during a demonstration. I've toured working gold mines in Nevada, and I've had the opportunity to see the internal/backstage workings of just about every caberet show in Las Vegas.
