that is terrible...i read the snopes article...why in the world would someone make up an amber alert...it makes it hard to tell which ones are real and which ones are fake (no offense to Andrea who obviously didnt know)

Oh, it's no problem! E-mails that are meant to scare or cause concern go around all the time. I wonder what people get out of sending things like that?

I got that a long time ago and didn't know that it wasn't real. I did have someone tell me that you never know if the "bad" person may actually be trying to find information on the child because she is being "protected". It is terrible that there are folks out there like that. I am so confused as to wether or not to send things like that myself. You don't know if you are truly helping or not.

I've learned (through lots of experience) to always check out emails with 'stories' on snopes.com. I used to believe them all. Then I got smart LOL. Never believe it til you've checked it out!
