Anyone from Providence, RI?

Dh is looking at a job there at Brown University. Can anyone tell me a little about the city? How big is it, how easy is it to get around, what is the weather like? What is the cost of groceries, gas and a 4 bedroom house? Where is a good place to live? Any info would be great! Thanks so much!

Beautiful place. Touristy too. My son goes to Bryant University in Smithfield, just north of Providence. The state itself is beautiful- well cared for. It's so small that you could travel around it in a day.
You know it is a sea shore state. artsy. it is an older New England town.
homes are anywhere from 119,000 to 2 mil. You wouldn't have to live in Providence, b/c the place is small, you could live in another town.
I think you'll like it.
Prices are equivilant to Colorado (my sister lives in Littleton CO)
