Default DH called from work to tell me...

he lost his cell phone. UGH! He wanted me to call verizon and let them know so they could deactivate the phone before someone else found it and used it. I am glad he called me to let me know. He had to leave work and run some errands in town and thinks that is when he lost it.

Verizon said he could get another one for 25% off or reactivate the one he had before purchasing that one. It was only a year old and we usually get new phones every 2 years, which would be next April. So we may just reactivate his old phone since he will be getting a new one next year.

I just wish someone would find it and search the contact #'s and call the entry marked HOME or turned it in to the paint store he visited. He is going to call them tomorrow to see if someone turned it in.

Can he go to the stores he think he might of lost it at and ask if someone turned it in? i found a cell phone once and turned it into the building I found it by (found it in the parking garage) I didn't want to go thru the phone since it wasn't mine to go thru you know? I did hear later that day some man asking at the information desk if someone turned in a phone so i felt good that he got it back. Or maybe if the battery is dead they can't look thru it to find out the number for home.

Hopefully your DH found his cellphone or someone returned it back to the store! If not re-activating his old one temporarily isn't that bad of an option & maybe his other will be turn up soon!

I hate that loosing or breaking a cellphone is very expensive especially w/my DH since he climbs through the ceiling @ work it gets very dusty up their & he wanted the industrial type non-flip NEXTEL w/the rubber grippy's on the end! So if it fell off the roof it would get damaged, etc.

The guy who serviced our cesspool says he loses a cellphone just about once a week, he had the same one as me i95cl yeah mine is a few years old now! I told him about the great deal I got for it on AMAZON w/the rebate & he was surprised! I don't remember how much I paid now!

DH specifically told me to add the insurance to our phones so paying $4.95 a month was worth it we filed the claim over the phone & they faxed the papers over to sign & it was out on a FEDEX truck the next day!

DH left his cellphone on my EXPY back bumper & I didn't realize that's where it was while he mowed the front lawn, then I had to go out & get gas so I never thought of looking there before leaving the driveway!

I'm not sure where it went but I never heard anything fall off while I was driving, I re-checked my route to the gas station & never found it! DH thinks the kids next door might of stole it so while calling to get a replacement I checked when the last call was placed @ what time & to what # there were none for that day besides to my cellphone!

The only thing he misses was his black leather case w/a slip clip on the back it fits alot better on his pocket than the swivel-type clips which break all the time & lets the phone fall

I have the cellsuit purple neoprene case for mine by BODYGLOVE which came w/the stupid swivel clip & it didn't just break the clip but part of the plastic where it's attached to the case! So pieces of the plastic in between the stitching that are broken I can't do anything about! The clip was useless for me! I just carry it in my hand along w/my keys & I found an old beeper cord w/a clip on the end which fit through the holes on the end of my flip phone & used it like a keychain on my huge carabiner key ring which fits over my wrist!

While we were @ Best Buy DH wanted to see about getting a new case & they didn't have that size the guy said to buy it online probably you'd find one.

The old leather case I gave him was from my old NOKIA phone from AT&T many years ago! I haven't seen them in awhile!

    Update:

We never got the phone back. I don't know where it went. He did call the paint store to ask if anyone turned one in and they said no. UGH! We went ahead and re-activated an old one for now.

I also did as Andrea and checked to see when the last call was placed and to whom. As for as I can tell noone used it before it was deactived. WHEW!
