Trying to start a chain of cards for my niece who was severely burned in a fire
My 12 year old niece was severely burned in a fire on the 10th. She had gotten out but wet herself down and ran back in try to save her friend. She severely burnt over half of her body. The friend she tried to save didn't make it.
My niece is l in ICU of the burn ward in Dallas and is going through lots of skin grafting.
I remembered sending cards to another little girl through someone on this site and was hoing to start the same type of thing.
If your interesting in helping I will give you her mothers address who will bring up the cards.
I think our brave little niece deserves all the praise an support possible!

Oh my goodness! What a tragedy! I think for a 12 yr old to do something like that is very commendable! What an amazing thing for anyone to do and an innocent child risks herself for her friend, wow, how many ADULTS would go that far for a friend? Truly says something about the kind of spirit that little girl has inside! This brings tears to your eyes, how could it not! I think, no I know she was and is a very, very brave little girl facing something no child or adult should be faced with. Unfortunately, this is something some must face. It does help "rekindle" your spirit knowing with all the bad in this world, there is so mcuh good and it is people like her that remind us of that!
She will be in our prayers for strength, courage, and hope to get through this as yes, she will have a very rough road ahead! I hope and pray for a well recovery for her and the family!
I would love to send your dneice a card!

I would love to send her a card myself. I have a 12 year old and I can't imagine her going through not only suffering burns but the loss of a friend as well. She is a loving, brave young lady!

Ladies~ so far our poor niece hasn't really been conscious. She doesn't yet know her friend didn't make it. So heartbreaking!

Thanks Liz!
I just talked to MIL. Our Niece does not know her friend is gone. If everyone could please be careful not to mention losing a friend. They are waiting until she is out of the woods herself to tell her anything.
Thanks!

I would do it anyway, but especially since everyone was so great about sending to Scotti (who was in a very similar situation) I would be very pleased to be able to send her a card or a little something. Please PM me the address.
