    Default Barn swallows are attacking!

I posted this on Homestead Garden but I thought I would put it here also. I went out to water the plants this morning and 3 bird swooped at my head!

I have barn swallows building a mud nest over my from door. I don't mind a nest, just not over my door. Everytime someone comes on the porch or goes in or out of the house the birds attack! I've tried knocking the nest down,
hosing it away but they keep on trying to build. What should I do?

you could put up a vertical piece of metal fencing (chicken wire) from the top of light to the ceiling so they haven't a flat place to build.
