I did not see that one coming. I was hoping for Elliot or McFever to get voted off. Now I will hope that Taylor makes it.

Major shock in our house! LOL hubby was booing the television!! I'm also speechless on it, heck I was even AMAZED at the placing of the top 2! Sigh, sad too, that WAS the most talented person. Hubby was SURE the other bottom person would be the one to go, he'd been saying that all week.

I'll tell you what though, we're using BOTH phone lines next week and voting for the guys, thats all there is to it!

I read this morning on the web

Daughtry instead may have the opportunity to take over as the lead vocalist for Fuel, Creed, or any of the other one-syllable rock bands out there that are missing a singer, since he won’t be locked into the contract given to the “Idol” winner.

I think maybe he will have a better career without American Idol
I hope he does well ,he seemed like such a good guy

I couldn't believe it! I was really hoping he'd win, but you know he'll get a recording contract anyway. He's just too talented to get away without one!

Gripey and I were both shocked but feel for sure he'll be a great success anyway.

I told my daughter last night that I thought he would have a contract in no time. We were very shocked. I expected the other bottom person to go.
I am voting for Elliot now.

I am still in shock. Like everyone else said, he will definitley have a recording contract. And, this may actually turn out more in his favor. Remember Reuben and Clay? It's been on the news today that it's shocked everyone so this is good publicity for him, which means people will probably anticipate his cd more than the actual winner. Just my two cents.

I was surprised but actually I was happy that Elliott and Taylor were the top two last night. I thought their performances were the best this week.

Well Rayn Secrest just told ET that he has been offered a front man position of a well known band. He can't take the job until after the summer Idol tour, but apparently it is a band he has always wanted to work for.
