    Question not sure where to put this.....??

    sorry, i'm not sure where to put this post, but i have some weeds creeping up thru the side walks and the driveway (both concrete).....also in my flowerbeds. i don't want to use harsh weed killers, because we don't want to kill bugs and worms!
    does anyone know what i can use...that maybe is natural or at least made from things around the house that can kill these weeds without killing the bugs and worms?? they are driving me crazy!!!
    thanks!!

    Misty,

    I found this. If it does not harm children or pets, it should not harm bugs and worms. But can't be sure, since I have not tried it. "You can make up you own weed killer, which works very well on almost every weed, and it costs just pennies! Also, it is environmentally safe as all products are natural and can be purchased in the grocery store.

    1 quart (litre) of vinegar, 1/2 cup of salt and 1oz. of dishwashing soap.

    Mix this up and put it into a spray bottle and go at it. As with any weed killer, it should be used when there is little chance of rain for 48 hours. There is no danger to either kids or pets."

    Try hot salt water. It will also dry out most weeds.

    I read somewhere once to pour boiling water on weeds.
    “When you get to the end of all the light you know
    and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
    faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
    you will be given something solid to stand on,
    or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller

    “Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
    there are signs that the world is speedily
    coming to an end;
    bribery and corruption are common; children no
    longer obey their parents;
    every man wants to write a book and the
    end of the world is evidently approaching.”
    — From a translation of an inscription on
    an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.

    God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
    courage to change the things I can,
    and the wisdom to know the difference
