    Thumbs down Emegency Room

    Thats where I've been all morning with my DS.
    He was playing basketball yesterday and hurt his ankle. They figurehe tore a ligament in his ankle
    I will have to pay as I have no insurance. ( I don't want to see this bill.)

    Ugh.....be sure to ask when you get the bill if you will pay the bill in full (even if you have to borrow the money to do it) if they will discount it. Sometimes they will almost 50%. But, be prepared to do so within 24 hours when you ask.

    Here in Bradenton the county hospital will take payments even as little as $10.00 a month. Because its a county hospital they don't charge intrest. We've had a few visits there in the last 20 years and have manged to work things out with them. They have dropped and lowered charges in the past when I have questioned items on the bill. So be sure to check and question every items you don't completely understand. Mistakes do happen!!!

    oh wow. I hope that he gets better soon. Paying medical bills sucks. Best of luck with that. Just an idea for you, I know of someone that did not have insurance and called the hospital and asked for the discount that they would have given the insurance company had she had some. They were happy to do it. Now of course, she paid the bill in full when they gave the discount to her.
