Thumbs down two days without tv or computer

Tuesday the guys installing sod in our neighborhood somehow managed to cut our cable line... meaning that we have been without any TV or internet connection for two days. The cable company finally made it out to repair the line today.

It was interesting to me just how much I missed it... I don't think of myself as a big TV person, but, my regular evening routine of watching TV before bed was sorely missed last night.

Even more frustrating was the lack of internet connection. The recipe I wanted to try for supper was online, meaning that I had to make something else. I needed to get something for work, and couldn't do it. And my daily dose of visiting my favorite message boards was completely cut off.

We had plenty of other things to do, of course-- playing with DD, reading, cooking, chores-- but being "cut off" was very frustrating. I'm glad things are back to normal today!

I'm lost without my TV and computer too! I just spent 10 days at my Moms without access and I felt very deprived but had time to do lots of thinking.:

Welcome back! I'd do ok without the TV but loss of internet drives me nuts!

A few years ago our neighbors were putting in a gas line and cut my phone lines, I was NOT a happy camper at all. Even with the fix there times when we get a LOT of line and the line gets static at the repair, it's been dug up and fixed 3 times and it still happens. Oh, and neighbors paid for the repairs!
