Darn storms they suck. GO bother someone else, I am not ready for another big storm to head our way. Sorry ladies but, I can not mentally or physically take on more now someone else can. I know that does not sound nice but I don't feel like being nice right now

Currently it's only a Tropical Depression that is pretty disorganized and has seen very little (if any) change since this afternoon. It might... maybe... be a Tropical Storm sometime tonight but most likely not until tomorrow if it's going to do it.
Tampa had rain tonight from this Tropical Depression, but not too much. Sunday night and Monday morning will be the times to keep a close (and active) watch this weather system since the NHC is speculating landfall will be Monday afternoon just north of Tampa.

NHC put out it's 10am (CDT) update and the tropical depression has now been upgraded to a Tropical Storm and named Alberto. The weather system has also slowed a bit as NHC is now speculating that it will make landfall a short time after midnight Monday night.
The center has become a little more organized, however it's still not a well organized storm and it's not really being expected to get much stronger than it is currently (but this is the weather we're talking about, not exactly something entirely predictable).
That being said, there's some weather going on a little north (northwest) of Alberto that has the potential to either intensify the tropical storm a little while speeding it up or severely weaken it. It will all depend on how and where those two weather systems collide.
Currently it's bright and sunny here in Tampa with some clouds, but no sight of rain so... I'm going to the park!

We have had some wind and rain here(central) but not bad. So much for the sunshine more gloomy all day. We had been planning on heading over to Sebastion this monring and play in the tide pool(we always see manatees in it and it is great). Mother nature had other plans though.

Right now here it is raining like heck! Winds are around 30, not bad. Just some outer band stuff. Hanging out around the house. Check in later!

At work this afternoon we had our mandatory evacuation. We are in Citrus County, and my office is right on the Gulf, so we are up in the air about tomorrow. The wind is just starting a little bit now, it rained all day, now it has stopped for a little bit.

Julie - I saw that on the news tonight about the mandatory evacuations, but they didn't exactly say why. They vaguely mentioned something about potential storm surge. I'm not familiar with the west coast at all.
We had a good amount of rain here yesterday afternoon and then a really good thunderstorm coupled with a tremendous downpour this afternoon. It's been gloomy all day. Today definitely would not have been a good day to visit Sebastian Inlet.

Kim, Yeah we have 10 ft. storm surge warnings, tornado warnings until tomorrow morning, and hurricane warnings. Because of high tide tonight, the full moon, and the storm surge, they are afraid of the flooding. That is where I work.
Where I live, they are worried about tornados. They just came by about an hour ago with the police and firemen, telling people in the trailers to get out.
