Smile What's going on this weekend?

We are just hanging around the house, cleaning, doing laundry (neverending), crocheting, and reading. What is everyone else doing?

We haven't done much today. We just returned from the annual county fireman's feast. We ate for free and also won 2 door prizes! Yippee!! I won some fireman gloves, cap, book and a keychain. DS#3 won about 15 lbs. of cooked sasuage. I plan to put it in freezer bags for quick lunches. Yummy!!

We haven't any major plans for tomorrow either as it is suppose to rain.

Yesterday poor hubby unloaded wagon loads of hay (square bales weighing about 40-50 lbs each) a total of about 400 bales that he had to toss and stack, poor guy. I'm still banned from the barn due to my foot so kept him hydrated with lemonaide. Then he moves large round bales, and did all the feeding AM and PM.

I did sneak out to the garden and water and do some weeding (the weeds are taking over in just a week, had to find some of the poor plants, lol)

Today hubby has to cover a dispatcher shift at work so he got up at 5AM to do chores and took off at 7, will be home about 5, poor dear. I'm going to try to lie low for today, last day of "house arrest" on the foot, lol. Going to make that dear man a special dinner of steak, salad, fry bread and turnips with a BEER!

Tomorrow it's back to work here on the farm for me!

DH's mother and sister were here visiting for the weekend. They arrived Friday night and left earlier today. Last night, DH and I went out on the boat for a few hours while the inlaws went shopping. Today, we have been picking up around the house. DH started to water the lawn and we suddenly had a huge downpour of rain. The heavy rain is over now, but it's still coming down. We definitely needed it around here.

Spent yesterday morning going to the yard sales, the afternoon with dd#1 and Gripey. We had smoked ribs, fried squash (not good for the diet but ooooh so good anyway!!), salad, etc... and swam. Today we got up and cooked bbq hamburgers and mom and dad over for fathers' day. Had a nice visit and dd#1 had to leave b/c she has to work in the morning. Gripey and I swam when mom and dad left and dd#2 took a nap. Now we're watching tv and vegging out.

DH and I both had to work Saturday (he works days, I work nights). Today we just hung out around the house, did some laundry, DH mowed the yard, I made meatloaf, pasta salad, baked beans, and a cake. Typical Sunday around here.
