    Default Fabric RAOK!

Yesterday I was gifted 55 yards of fabric, mostly cotton and cotton blends by a man whose Mom passed away. There are 19 pieces and most are atleast 2 1/2 yds. each and will be just great for quilting. A few are 4 1/2 yards. There are also several pieces (didn't measure these yet) that I know I won't use for quilting so I will sell them on ebay to raise funds for the food bank. I am just so grateful! I will also make some quilts for the homeless for this winter. I have everything I need except the batting. I'd like to try and set a goal of making atleast 4 quilts for the homeless out of the fabric that I was gifted before it gets cold here.

Yesterday was just full of surprises!

What a wonderful RAOK. I'm sure you'll be able to make a number of charity quilts. Great job Carolyn.

A few months ago this man donated a ton of material from his deceased wife's stash to our quilt guild. Our guild makes charity quilts for kids in need and I've already done two quilts from this stash. I plan to do a couple more.
