Default Bummer at the drive inn!!!!!!

The kids wanted to go to the drive in movies last night. Its generally 12$ for the four of us for two first run movies. A great deal!!! We get there and it now costs 22.50. I was pretty shocked!!! Bummer!!!!!!!! I don't think we will go often at all!!!!!!!

I am sorry the price went up. Drive-In's are disappearing like crazy. I think it's great you still have one to show your kids. We used to go when the girls were younger just so that they would remember it. They are just about all gone now.

Well, we want air conditioned comfort, don't we?

There was one in Indiana -- they started charging $2 to let you bring in your own food. It was worth it -- I could pack a whole picnic for about the price of one meal at their snack bar.

Early bird~ brrr last night we could have used heat!! I must say though their snack bar is very reasonable. We had a large popcorn and large cheesecurds for 7.00. However had I know the price almost doubled I wouldnt have approved buying them before we left.

We also have a 2.50 budget theatre in that town. Good deal~since I buy that highschools coupon book and get 2 for 1.

YIKES! That's a big price jump!!

We visit a drive in ocassionaly that is about 45 minutes from us. It cost $10 a carload and shows a double feature on new releases. We haven't been this summer, so I might want to call and check for prices since yours went up.

We have one and a half drive ins (the half one isn't finished yet ). The one is $5 per adult and kids are free (for two films, we NEVER stay for the second one though). Unless it's a kids movie, then kids are $2.50. We recently went to see Cars at the drive in. At 22.50 for the six of us, it's still TONS cheaper than going to the regular theater...that would cost us nearly $50...plus we can bring our own popcorn & snacks to the drive in (although even their prices there are very reasonable).

I'm sorry they jacked the price up for ya

Ours have gone up to $5. a person. Still cheaper than a walk in. We take blankets and just lay out in front of the car. Our only drive in has 6 screens.

    Wow 6 screens!! Thats huge!!!

We have a local grocery that you pay 10$ to buy into the coop. They will sell tickets to the two local big theatres at 5$ each. Much better than the 9$ you'd pay otherwise. Much worth going a little out of the way. My Mom also belongs to this coop but says it is too much hasle to go the 2 miles. Sheesh thats 12$ that could be saved when she takes the boys.
