That sounds like such a fun day. We have lots of orchards close to us and I always mean to go over and pick peaches or other fruits but I never make it over there. I am going to have to get myself motivated and get some fruit picked .

We picked 20 lbs on Monday. We go picking every year. They ate a ton of them. We put the rest in the freezer to make into jam when the weather cools down.

Ah thats one of my favorite childhood memories. My mom and I used to go every June - unfortunately there are no strawberry patches in Colorado (at least nearby!).

I haven't gotten any strawberries yet either Laura (I am in CO too). But my Fall gold raspberries have offered up some to pick here and there. I like walking by and grabbing a berry as I go about my gardening. I hope to freeze a few pints and make jam with them.

Your post is making me wants strawberries too! Glad you had a great time. Enjoy them.

I'm not even sure if the strawberries are still pickable here. I need to make some calls. Might do that with the inlaws and kids this weekend, if they are.
