returning member trying to get it together
Hi everyone! I hope it's ok that I post here. I used to post under jo a while back. I've had a few hard times which I am hoping are mostly over and want to get back to coming here everyday like I used to.

I've spent a lot of time completely decluttering my computer and getting rid of a lot of email addys and usernames. I once thought it would be good to have several names for different things I did on the internet (frugal, online games, chat, etc) but that has been backfiring in the form of way too much junk on my computer. I pared everything down to my one ISP account for bills and ppl who already email there and I deleted every other name that I could and made this one name for everything I do on the internet. It is really me too (it's an anagram of my real name). I feel a lot better about all that now and have been posting regularly to my new blog for the past couple of weeks.
The hard times have had to do with my work--I've went thru some unfair meetings towards me because of personal dislikes there and then after that settled down my company has decided to have Perot Systems (as in Ross Perot) come in and handle the billing part. So some of us are joining Perot and some are staying with the old company (it's been nerve-racking). I have went thru hair drug testing and a background check (which I wasn't worried about) but it still felt strange as I've worked in this job for a yr and a half. I shall be a Perot Associate come July 1st. My insurance and everything has changed and we are worried exactly what else is going to change down the road. Also the gas prices have been fluctuating and it makes things hard because I drive 84mi. roundtrip everyday.

But in better news I have had a new furnace/central air installed. My furnace was 30+ yrs old and killing me in gas bills and my a/c had puked. That leaves me in DEBT for that, but feeling better about not being warm/cool enough. Sorry about the long post but just wanted to re-enter

Hi ; I'm a recent returnee under a different name, because I could not get back in under my old name. Moved into a new house and wasn't on the computer much since January. You might remember me as pqb57, I was instrumental in starting the shed. Dosen't look much more popular as the lasdt time I was on. But I sure missed this place and I'm glad I'm back.

fv has the best people
Thanks everyone for such a warm welcome back. And Hi!! to Jerry.
With the new furnace I certainly do need to get back to being as frugal as possible. The $51.24 below is my change jar that I counted yesterday. I had brought all the change in my desk at work home to add in, so I recounted everything. And the furnace was $2,875 but in my mind, it will pay for itself in years to come. Me and my brother have pretty much the same size house (he lives around the block) and my $110 budget on gas was pathetic to the $59 budget he has been paying. I hope soooo much that the new furnace makes it go down that much.
