I hope all the rain in your area lets up soon. Especially, since it is coming in your homes!

It's been raining since the weekend here and I woke up to bright sunshine today. What a welcome relief, we have had more rain than anything here.

I am traveling on business this week in Richmond, VA. I'm afraid I'm going to sprout gills before I fly home Thursday!
Ironically, we're in near-drought conditions at home. No happy medium...

Dd called today, where she lives in has declared a state of emergency. Everything is closed. She lives in one of the higest points in her area (Her apt. looks down on the city) and she had water running off the hill and above her ankle when she got out of her car in her apt parking lot. More rain (many " )on the way.

News said in the past 3 months it has rained 73% of the time...way too much.
Oh we live on the creek(aka river) & I've never seen it this high this time of year. Hope it stays in the bank.
East coast & others are getting hammered, my thoughts are with you.
Hope those that need it get it soon.

We had the rain last week, and what we're SURE were tornados, the damage in our town was BAD. We did lose parts of a few trees and have fencing damage. Even more fun our power was out for two days.
We're VERY fortunate though, drove by our old farm and the old oak tree came down just missing the barn! That tree was well over 100 years old and the trunk is 8 FEET ACROSS!

Right there with you- we've had rain nearly every single day for literally months now. Darlene and I are in a flood warning area, under the threat of a dam that may collapse and unleash BILLIONS of gallons of water rushing through the valley. Luckily, the siphons were opened, which is maybe not such good short term news, particularly for someone like Darlene who is right on the bank, but I'm sure we'd both rather have minor flooding rather than having everything we know wiped off the face of the earth.
Somebody make the rain stop!!!!

I hope everyone is doing ok with all the rain. We've been lucky so far, our basement is dry. Some parts of the Poconos have been hit hard. The rivers are still rising by us and pose a threat to some local areas. I am hoping for the best for everyone that the rain stops and that the rivers recede.
