    Unhappy Banging my head!!

I am beginning to think we are on a streak of bad luck when it comes to automobiles. It all started about three weeks ago when DH backed into a car in a parking lot. Then DS#1 totalled his car. Then DH's truck started messing up. Last week my check engine light came on. DH had someone put a computer on it and we purchased the part this weekend. Ready for the rest of the story?? DS#1 asked if he could go over to a friends house yesterday. I reluctantly agreed. I should have stuck with my gut instinct. His friend calls me from DS#1's cell phone and ask if I will come over. I immediately thought the worse. Wonder why?? So, of course I go over to see what has happened this time. DS#1 was backing up my car to let another friend out of the drive way, BUT didn't close my door. He thought he would just coast back and then pull up and hop out. Nope, it didn't happen that way. He pulled back, but the drive has a dip and guess who caught the door on the dip on the way up? Yep, DS#1 did. He jammed my door up into the front quarter panel to the tune of $1162.00, which will have to be paid out of our pocket....or his! We had just dropped the full coverage because our rates were to high because of his age. UGH!! I would like to do this to him. >>> BUT I guess I won't. He is paying for the repairs out of his pocket though. He has a little over $900 saved, which would have went for him another car. Now it is going for mine. He will have to pay the rest of it in payments to us.

I am beginning to think he doesn't need a car. I think he would be better off walking, which is what will happen for a while.

I don't think he stops to think sometimes!!! I think he is going to be the death of me!

He'll learn, especially since your making him pay. Hope he learns quick & that this is the end of him making you ride the emotional roller coaster. Big hug Michelle.

Mechelle. I am sorry that you are having such an unlucky automobile streak. I hope it turns around and smooths out quickly for you.

Sorry about the misspelling of your name Michelle. I did not see it until I had already hit the post button.

Kathy, don't worry about the spelling error. I know I make typing errors all the time. I knew what you meant.

Darlene, I hope you are right. I hope this is the last "accident" he has.

Yikes! We are living the same life. DD#2's VW bit the dust and we junked it. We came home from vacation and Dh's engine light comes on in his 2005 Dodge truck that we bought last year. Believe it or not he needed a valve job. Kind of scary don't you think? I still owe $17,000 on this. DD#1 was in a accident a week or so ago and the driver that rear ended her lied about it to her insurance co.. When she realized there was a witness to the accident she changed her tune and now doesn't remember a thing. Her insurance co then tried to total my 2000 Neon not giving us enough money to buy an equivalent car. No way I told them either fix it, find me a neon with the same amount of miles or I sue. They are fixing it. Sunday we went to Big Lots for a new pole saw we are not in there 2 minutes when a woman walks in and asks who owns the Dodge truck. You guessed it she ran into the bumper. I mean there were only 3 vehicles in the entire parking lot. There was also a recall on our truck. Both vehicles were in the shop today. Thank goodness for rentals!

AWwww, hugs to you from here, I'm sure he'll learn from this, that's an expensive lesson for someone that age. My hubby did that about 10 years ago with his S10 but he sprung the door on a hay wagon, had to drive it for 6 months with a drivers door that didn't open, lol, that taught him!

And what the heck is it with Murphy and all our vehicles right now? My poor truck is sitting in the driveway with a busted brake line and I'm grounded until I can get it in the end of the month, no money for it until then, sigh.

    MURPHY GO AWAY!!!

O'kay~how about we just all move to a walking community and do away with cars? No gas purchases, car repairs, or car payments. We will have enough money left over to purchase comfortable but cute shoes. Sorry to hear about your troubles.
