    Default DISCOVER CARD IS ANNOYING!!!!

Before sunday I had lasted used my discover card last dec when they sent us a 20$ cash back with purchase offer. I ordered something and the next day it showed on the site and I paid it. I recieved my 20$ cash back rebate.

Discover card seems to get real worried when we don't use the card!! I got a call offering 5% on all aparrel/books/tuition and a 20$ cash back if I use the card once. Alrighty! We were planning on doing a little school shopping at sears on sunday (who offer a gift card rebate ranging from 10%$ to 20%).

Discover used to show the charges made the next day if not even the same day!!! Nope no charges showing yet 4 days later. The system won't let me make a payment on a -.31 balance.

Since we no longer debt I have to pay it with the cash I was prepared to pay. I will be sending out a check today!!! Even with the cost of the stamp I sure couldn't turn down the free 20$ for using the card. Guessits worth a little annoyance!

Sounds like a good deal to me and good customer service on Discover's part.

I just finally paid off all my discover card debt and closed that account (it's taken years to do) and they are sending me offers to get a new card.

I use mine for just about everything and pay it off every month. On my statement it shows me my year to date cash back bonus but it cant be cashed out until my Anniversary date, which is in Sept I think.
Wonder what they'll offer me if I stopped using it for a month or two lol
We just got the card last Sept with a credit line of $2000 I think.I almost maxed it out, paid it off and they up'ed me to $5,000 within 3 months lol

My husband is great one for calling them and saying "lower the interest rate or we'll go elsewhere". We have super low interest on our cards. Guess he needs to call Discover and see if he can get a perk or two!

I've tried this with a providian and they've always told me "We review accounts every so often and you're not up for review yet.." Soooooooooo I paid it off and called to cancel it.Of course they gave me this "How about we lower the rate.." Well I tried...you said no,so cancel it. Now they've been calling wanting us to come back. I always said no thanks. Then they began calling and ONLY wanting to speak to Steve,I'd say he wasnt hear and they say they'll call back. So finally they call and he's here so I give him the phone, pick up the other and tell the lady "I have told you we are NOT interested! Please do not call here again.." I'm so nice hehehee

I had called discover to cancel and they offered me 0% for 6 months, so I took it. I will keep them now due to a zero balance and a higher limit, and the facty that I have had them for a few years...

Just signed up for a good deal with discovercard, 5% cash back on school tuition, and by shopping at certain stores for school items up to $2000. Glad I saw this, was just about to pay sons tuition and there is the $2000 right there. Woohoo!

Just today I got 6 blank checks from Discover with 0% interest on anything I purchased with them. I really wish they wouldn't send checks. To the shredder they go!

Lisa you can call them & tell them not to send the checks. I did that not too long ago & it was quick & easy.
