Default I'm sitting in the airport in Albequerque

and since we got up, ate at 3:30 a.m. (!) I'm hungry. I have some pkgs. of cookies in my purse but didn't really want those just yet. Sssoooo I get in a looong line at a kiosk that serves coffee and muffins, etc. . Can you believe that I just paid $2.15 for a big slice of banana bread?! I think I know what business I should be in now.

Yup, I've done it before. Everything always costs more in the airport.

That reminds me about when we flew back from Hawaii last year. Our flight was leaving like at 11am or something. I wanted to go eat breakfast one last time at this little local place that we had discovered that had the best biscuits in the world (they were more like honey muffins but they called them biscuits) before we caught our flight. DH was in a hurry for whatever reason (we had plenty of time) and wanted to go turn in the rental car *right now* and said 'we can get something to eat at the airport'. Well our gate was somewhere in Outer Mongolia and all there was, was a Pizza Hut stand that sold small personal size pizzas for like 8 bucks each, and drinks were 2.50.

    I was not happy.

I did not want pizza for breakfast but we had no choice. We could have had a great breakfast but nooooo.

We had Gripey's laptop with us and they provide free wireless internet there. It was the only airport we were able to hook up in which stinks b/c we had like 5 hours to kill in BMI . Anyway it was fun while it lasted.
