Anyone Blog?
Hi guys!
Does anyone here blog? If so who do you "host" with? I'm using Blogger right now and I *hate* it. Its constantly down, or theres some problem with me trying to log in, etc.
Sooo anyone use something other than blogger and if so how do you like it?

I do! See link in my signature. I've used Blogger but didn't care for it, I loved TypePad but it was too expensive. I use LiveJournal now and prefer it over all others. The livejournal people are starting a new site called Vox that's in it's developing phase. If you would like an account with them - www.vox.com - I have three invites so let me know.

Well now I can't contain myself. lol
We will be offering free blog hosting soon. We've had the software for quite some time, but need to create the template options and design the main section interface.
We'll be offering numerous blog categories and I'm excited about it. I had always used wordpress myself, but wanted to try something new and then came across this hosting software and decided it would be a nice new feature for Frugal Village.
I'll keep the journals we have now for anyone that prefers to use that.
The interface on our new software is very simple to use. I'll post an update once we have it completed and ready for members. If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. It's internationally syndicated through Universal Uclick. Thank you for supporting Frugal Village.

I'm hoping to have it available within the next couple of weeks. I worked on it a bit this past weekend. I may open it up with just a few template options and then keep adding new templates periodically, so I can get it up and running sooner.

It's similar to wordpress (in both function and appearance), but I think even easier than wordpress to use.
Originally, we were going to use multi-user wordpress and tested it and I wasn't happy with it, so we purchased software that I liked better.
I see it like this..I'd rather have something that is more user friendly because if members have problems with it, that means I have to do more to help. The software we have now is very user friendly and I know I won't have to troubleshoot and give as much tech support. I don't mind helping, but if different software makes that aspect easier for me, I prefer it.
For the most part, the blog software we have isn't too much more effort than posting to the forums here.
We worked on it a bit last night and will work more on it tonight. I'd like to get it available to everyone asap.If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. I am sure you will do an excellent job with this. Will it have advertising on it as do other blogs out there on it in order for it to pay for itself?
