    Default On Friday August 4th....

we close on our new home and by that weekend we will be all moved in.

The worst part of it all is its in a different county so we have to switch power company's, water company's and cable/internet providers. The power and water switch will be first of course and then we will get the cable internet hooked up as soon as we are able. As much as I don't want to be off line at least I will have the computers here at work to play around on and visit with you all until we get it installed at the house. (And someone must give me big brother recaps as I doubt the boss would like me watching the shows while here....lol)

Our realtor is going to get us a key from the seller as early as next Monday so that we can get the stuff we aren't using out and have that much less to do next weekend.

As soon as we do have a key I am going to get Paige's room knocked out first. We got her a toddler bedroom set so that will be all together except for the matress out of her crib. Then we will get the extra bed moved over there so all we will have to do the weekend we close is move our bedroom suit, the sofa the tv's and the washer and dryer (as well as a few odds and ends here and there that we come across.)

I figure with having the key early we will be more likely to get things put up and then go after another load.

Anyway don't be surprised if the first week or two of August it appears that I've fallen off the face of the earth, I'll be sure and pop on at work when I have some down time to let you know how things are going.

    Very nice house Kathryn,
I like the porch on the back. Are you going to make it a full deck?
Congradulations and best of luck with your new digs

Thanks everyone. I can't wait to get in there. I hope to have Paige's room finished before we move in. Since we are going to have 2 full baths now I'm going to go get some stuff for both bathrooms (new towels, trash cans, mats, shower curtains etc.....)

As for the back porch, for now we are going to leave it as it is and little by little work on. We are going to make a small set of 4 steps to come down and most likely add more to it and then have the rest of the steps lead to the ground. The majority of the back will be fenced so we can let Speedy out whenever we want to with out having to watch her or chain her up.
