    Default Looking for someplace

To get Deana a back to school outfit. . . she wants something she
can't get in Central IL. . something that screams "I'm different!'
(remember her Christmas outfit last year that screamed "hello! It's
Deana!" ?) Nothing risque of course, as she'll be wearing it to
school. We have a fairly loose dress code, but still . .. .

So websites of your favorite places to shop. . . . any places to stop
while we're between home and Lancaster PA. . . .

This is the girl who has cheerfully worn hand me downs for years (from
the boys mostly), has not complained about patched clothes. . .who
even asked to shop at Goodwill for her Christmas clothes last year--
the girl who has behaved pretty maturely through one bad relationship,
a new relationship, any punishments we've doled out recently, through
her car accident, etc. . . so we'd like ONE nice, new outfit for the
    new school year.

Oh sunshine, I wish I could help. I usually stay as far away from malls and clothing stores as much as possible. There is a place in Michigan City called the light house place,(just thought of it) an outlet mall, but pretty good stores and bargains can be found if you are looking closely, but I haven't been there in ages. It is northern Indiana. Just wan't sure if you would be heading in that direction . Good luck!

Do you have a Beall's near you Denise? I get lots and lots of my clothes (which I always get compliments on) there, off the clearance racks for very little.

You might try Ross, Marshall's, TJ Max, Loehmann's, etc. I buy almost all of my clothes there. I have found a BCBG dress for 12.99 at Ross and a Laundry dress for $30.00 at Loehmann's. Those are clothes that normally sell for $200-$300. Not to mention all the Polo, Claiborne, Tommy, Calvin Klein, etc. By shopping those places, I'm able to dress very well (I'm in PR, so that's important for my job) for very little money.

My DD actually loves to hit thrift stores in different places. Many have different clothes than she can find in our area. Also look for Jr. League thriftstores in place you visit as they have higher end more jazzy(DD's term)things. Well drive and hour north to Tampa tp hit the Jr. League boutique so she can scope out a few new to her items.

If you are going to Lancaster, you can either stop at Park City Mall, or go to the outlets down RT 30 to Tanger Outlets or Rockvale Outlets. At Park City there is a Hollister, Abercrombie, Aeropostle, H&M, Hot Topic, and Wet Seal. I am sure that there are a few others as well. I live about 10 miles from Lancaster, so I do know pretty many of the stores. Both Tanger and Rockvale have websites so you can see what stores they have as well. I love the outlets.

oh yeah. It is not too far. Just take 283 to rt 30. You are about 6-10 miles away from Park City. Maybe 15 miles from the outlets. Very east to get to. Both are off of Rt. 30. The outlets are on Rt30 East and Park City is on 30 W. from Rt. 283. If you need any directions, when you are in town, you can PM me. I can give you my number.
