Seems like everytime I get all primed to get back to frugal basics
something happens. Do you ever feel like the universe is conspiring against your frugal efforts?
We've had a very unfrugal summer due to a lot of travel. We've enjoyed the heck out of all of it but man have we spent the money. Now I'm ready to get my nose back to the grindstone but lots of things keep begging my hard earned dollars. At least we've paid cash for our running and gunning....but I'm ready to stay at home and quit spending for a while. (she says as she's off to go spend some on her dogs and see the chiro., buy groceries, nothing extravagant but still spending nonetheless). Anyone else ever feel this way?

It sounds like you are having a great summer! You paid cash so you won't have those nasty bills to look forward to. I think we all fall off the frugal wagon from time to time. As long as we hop back on we are doing fine.
I have been eating out way to much! I have alot going on with older family members that need help right now. Between getting my Mom packed and ready to move this fall, my Aunt and Uncle who have health issues and been in the hosptial several time this summer (they don't have children so I take care of them) I come home exausted and don't want to cook. I just planned a 2 week menu that's fairly simple so I am trying to get frugal again. I am looking forward to the fall and doing some nesting lol!

Yes!! Like you we have paid cash. So I'm not sweating it. I'll get back on the bandwagon when school starts again. I look at it as creating childhood memories for Alex.
