Default How come no one told me this?!

Turns out, I could have done all my retirement saving in 4 years and been done with it.

Start on your first $1 million at 16

I started putting money in a monthly RRSP (IRA) at 18 and now it is 20 years later and boy and I happy I did that!

I want to go back to 13. Too many other things I would like to change besides retirement money.

Too late to go back, but I bet I make my kids do this when they start summer jobs!

If anyone had told me this at 16 I am not sure I would have listened, because when you're 16, and you think you're smarter than everybody else in the world, you think you have all the time in the world. You don't have a clue as to how quick time flies by and before you know it you're ready to retire. :-(

Yup, the earlier you start putting money away, the better. Better late than never!

LOL, ain't that the truth? I know I knew EVERYTHING then!

But ya don't want to go back to 13 and change things, then you wouldn't be who you are now!

I agree with ShopGirl. It's better to start early, but everyone who didn't start early must start now!!

That's right. We can't go back in time, but we can teach our children.
