I know how you feel. It is 103º currently! Dakota has football practice at 6 and I hope they give them plenty of water breaks.

Oh gosh! Football in this weather?

They cancelled my oldest son's t-ball. This heat wave wouldn't be so bad if we actually had air conditioning in the house.

    Stay cool everyone!!!

I heard on the weather today at noon that we were expecting a cool front to come through and the temps would be around 99 degrees! It is a shame when it has been so hot that 99 seems good. We have had 108 and above for days and days so any relief is welcome. I am soooooo ready for fall to get here.

Awww, c'mon, you ladies aren't enjoying this oppressive heat?

DD is pretty nasty to deal with in this weather, and it ttok a lot of convincing for me to even get her into the pool yesterday.

But on a positive note, all NY state parks are free today. (Of course, I won't be going.)

Why is the A/C unit still sitting in the basement, you ask? Because until yesterday, we didn't need it! Where is DH when you need him to put it in? At the air conditioned TV station, of course.

When I was at work last night, I definitely noticed the effects on other people. Almost everyone I work with was nuts, I got phone calls from nurses who didn't seem to know what they were doing and acted surprised that they had called, and one doctor was so ludicrous with his demands (and never has been before) that he was clearly under some evil influence, lol.

Just have to wait it out one more day....

Sorry girls.....but it's great to live in the Pacific Northwest....temps here are staying in the mid 70's and low 80's......and people complain when we get into the 80's....can't imagine what it must be like for you. I'm heading that way next month, though, and I hope it cools down before then.
