Smile Getting to know each other: What is your perfect vacation?

What is your perfect vacation? If money and time were no object, what would be your perfect vacation?

Mine would be a tour of Ireland. I would love to visit and see the homeland of my ancestors. I would take my DH and my children and my Mom. I would stay long enough to be able to enjoy seeing the small towns and countrysides and not just the tourist attractions.

    What is yours...
Books are the treasured wealth of the world and the fit inheritance of generations and nations.” --Henry David Thoreau

I'm right there with you, Katiebird. Ireland is my dream, as well as DH's. We're planning to go next year for our 5th anniversary. I always joke that I refuse to die until I've been "home."

A beach, any beach, as long as there is sand and ocean and a tiki bar in walking distance

Well, I have always dreamed of going to Hawaii. BUT, I think my dream vacation would be to take a year off from everything and travel all across the US and visit every state. I love to travel.

I would either want to go on an Alaskan cruise or go on a trip in any country that involved stopping at lots of haunted houses.

I'm with Sewcrafty, but my DH wants to take me to Italy, he went once in his early 20's with his mom, she is from Italy, but he hasn't been back since then.

Fiji, Pago Pago, The Marshall Islands, Bora Bora all those little maps dots in the blue ocean. And since we're dreaming I've got a private ship and all the trimmings!

My dream would be to take a year or two off and travel around Europe in an RV or going to B&B's.
