try adding sugar? They are attracted to fruit, a nd fruit is sweet, right? I just thought this might work, but I have never tried it.

I have heard that you can get a bread wrapper and put some fruit in it and leave it open and they will go in and you can close the wrapper and toss them.

there is a chance they might actually be sewer flies being in the bathroom, pour bleach down your drain and see if that helps

When I had them I did what Autumn said, with the plastic bag and fruit. I had to do it 5-6 times before they were all gone, but it worked. I agree they are really gross. Good luck!

I vineagr and baking soad upstairs all my drains, and bleqch down stairs, so i knew it wasnt the sink flys. This is abrand new place, and everything is squeeky clean and tight, no leaks.
I eneded up using liquid dish soap, vinegar(full strenght) and a tsp of lemon juice. it worked, 2 days later no flys, they died some in the juice mixture the rest on the floor(yuck). If i had the fresh fruit i would of used it, but none till this wednesday(check day).
I even put plastic wrap on the drins and vaseline on the inside to catch if their were nay, none. Thank God for that.
I really think it was the garbage its too close to the build9ings so i cant do anything about it. We rent. I just put more shredded paper in the compost and tonite Im putting bricks on the can to keep those darn raccoons out. they rip all my compost bage open.

    Default a different problem

The fruit flies are bad this year but the bleach in the drain did the trick for me. Now if someone can help me get rid of all the snakes that have decided my yard is their home I'd be very happy. The neighbor cut down a bunch of brush and they seem to be coming from there.
